Collaboration in the field of “Digital Health”
Technical, syntactic and semantic standards are needed for the
specific implementation and development of an “interoperable
health data space”. Their use must be coordinated. This is the
only way to ensure that the developed solutions are compatible
with each other and enable a seamless data flow. The following
organisations are therefore establishing a collaboration for the
area of ‘Digital Health’.

As a broad-based association, eCH promotes, develops and
maintains standards for digital administration and for an
increasingly digital healthcare system. For over 20 years,
the partners have been jointly developing standards and
ensuring the necessary interoperability in a networked
society. The members work on a voluntary basis and the
results are published.
Where appropriate, existing standards from other sectors and from abroad are validated and, if necessary, specifically supplemented. In the healthcare sector, for example, the standards for the insurance card, the rescue services and administration are known.
